Low Carbon City Award Ceremony

The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) has today received 4 Diamond Recognition Awards for achievements in reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions through MPHS's participation in the 2030 Low Carbon City Challenge Program (LCC2030C) for the year 2021. This Diamond recognition consists of from 1 Zone Category which is Kuala Kubu Bharu City and 3 Partner Categories which are MPHS Headquarters, Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital and Ar-Rahimah Mosque Kuala Kubu Bharu.
 
At the same ceremony, MPHS also received 4 Provisional Certificates consisting of 1 Zone Category which is Kenanga Industrial Area - Jasmine Bukit Beruntung and 3 Partner Categories which are SK Kuala Kubu Bharu 2, SJKT Kuala Kubu Bharu and SJKC Khing Ming in for the development of low carbon benchmark data.
 
The awarding of this recognition was completed by YB Dato' Sri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, Minister of Environment and Water (KASA). Mr. Tuan Mohd Hasry bin Nor Mohd, MPHS President and Ybhg. Tuan Awaluddin bin Zakaria, Deputy President of MPHS was present to receive this award.
 
In addition, the year 2022 is the fourth year of LCCF implementation at MPHS where it started when the council still had the status of a District Council. MPHS is committed to supporting low-carbon city initiatives and aiming for Hulu Selangor to become a low-carbon municipality in 2035.
