Site visit by YBhg. Dato' Razali bin Mohamad Deputy Secretary General (Management), Ministry of Transport Malaysia

A site visit by YBhg. Dato' Razali bin Mohamad Deputy Secretary-General (Management), Ministry of Transport Malaysia to see the effects of the landslide that occurred in the KTMB area on 23 September 2021.
Also present were the Hulu Selangor District Officer (DO) and officers from PDTHS, MDHS TYDP, MDHS Engineering Department, MDHS Planning Department, JKR HS, JPS HS, JMG, Ministry of Transport (MOT) and KTMB.
THE PURPOSE of the visit is to survey and identify the cause of landslides into the KTMB track reserve.
Land collapse is caused by land reclamation activities by individual land owners to make access roads to the land they are entitled to own. The collapse occurred due to too much water as a result of the phenomenon of too much rain and resulted in stagnant water on top of the peak which could not support the pressure from the water thus resulting in landslides.
