METAL Smelter PLANT SEIZED BY MPHS
The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) took seizure action on a factory that carried out metal smelting activities operating at Jalan Zurah 3A, Kawasan Perindustrian Zuhrah, Rasa on 14 June 2023.
The inspection which started at 10.15am involved 10 MPHS enforcers. When the operatives arrived at the location, the factory gate was closed and the operatives called one of the workers inside the factorysaid to do an inspection. After the door was opened, the members found that there was a heating akitivtii of the metal melting machine in progress and there were several molds that had been poured metal liquid and were still hot.
The results of the inspection also found that the factory had committed an offense under By-law (UUK) 3 Business and Industrial Trade (MDHS) 2007 ie not having a valid business license and had carried out operations without permission from MPHS.
The operatives have taken action to install yellow ropes on several piles of equipment and goods inside the premises. In addition, there were also some equipment and items related to business activities that were confiscated and taken, including a forklift (1 unit), an Industrial Fan (1 unit), a gas cylinder (6 units), a trolley (1 unit) and latex liquid (50) units. All confiscated items were taken to the MPHS detention depot for further action.
