VISIT TO BUKIT TAGAR SANITARY DISPOSAL SITE & SG SABAI KALUMPANG SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SITE
On 30 January 2023 (Monday), a delegation from the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council led by MPHS Chairman Tuan Mohd Hasry bin Nor Mohd, Deputy Chairman Tuan Awaluddin bin Zakaria, Council Members, MPHS Department Directors and staff 38 people in total.
A visit to the Bukit Tagar Sanitary Landfill, and a briefing on the site was given by Mr. How Lim Sek, CEO of Berjaya Enviroparks Sdn Bhd and Mr. Zainal FIkry bin Mohd Zain, GM of Berjaya Enviroparks Sdn Bhd. Site visits were also carried out at the factory premises for scheduled waste management, methane gas management, wastewater treatment and the last at the new cell that will be opened at the disposal site.
The next visit is at the Sg Sabai Solid Waste Landfill which is managed under a concession by Worldwide Holdings Berhad. This landfill has been upgraded from an open dumpsite category to a more organized and better managed one. The briefing session was given by Encik Nor Haszma Mohd Hashim, Head of the Operations Department, Worldwide Holdings Berhad, and Tuan Hj. Rosli Ismail, Chief Operating Officer of Worldwide Holdings Berhad, and followed up with a tour around the landfill
