MyPSV GOVERNMENT INITIATIVE TO HELP THE B40 GROUP
The 2023 National Level MyPSV Program Launch Ceremony organized by the Malaysian Ministry of Transport (MOT), through the Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ) in collaboration with the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council and the agencies of the Hulu Selangor District was held at Dewan Dato' Abdul Hamid, Batang Kali on July 3, 2023.
This program is one of the initiatives under the Madani Budget 2023 to help the B40 groupobtain a Public Service Vehicle Vocational License (Public Service Vehicle - PSV).
Through this program, the government aims to benefit 4,000 candidates which include 3,500 people for PSV [E-Hailing/Taxi] and 500 people for PSV [Bus] from the B40 group across the country through an allocation of RM2 million under the 2023 Civic Budget .
This allocation includes the cost of testing and training for candidates at a rate of RM 2,590 for each PSV Bus candidate while RM190 for each PSV E-Hailing/Taxi candidate. This program is also a commitment and effort of the Unity Government to help the B40 group improve their socioeconomic status and household income through job opportunities in the gig economy sector and further support and improve the survival of the public transport and tourism sectors in this country.
The ceremony was completed by YB Loke Siew Fook, Minister of Transport Malaysia and YAB Dato' Seri Amirudin bin Shari, Dato' Menteri Besar of Selangor.
