RESPONSE TO THE MELATI PARK HALL ISSUE, HULU SELANGOR
The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) would like to refer to the statement issued by Senator Datuk T. Mohan through his TikTok social page regarding the issue of the abandoned hall in Taman Melati, Serendah, Hulu Selangor.
The council would like to comment on the statement that the hall in question has the status of a hall and is not under the management of MPHS.
MPHS Chairman, Mohd Hasry Nor Mohd said, "The council only manages and maintains 15 council-owned halls, which are:
1. Bernam Jaya Public Hall
2. Batang Kali Public Hall
3. Hulu Bernam Public Hall
4. Kalumpang Public Hall
5. Kerling Public Hall
6. Hulu Yam Bharu Public Hall
7. People's Hall As Low
8. People's Hall Sg. Choh
9. Dewan Merdeka Kuala Kubu Bharu

For buildings with hall status, their management and maintenance is either managed by the Hulu Selangor Land and District Office or the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK).
Accordingly, since the construction of Taman Melati Hall, the management and maintenance of the premises is outside the jurisdiction of MPHS.
