STEEL PLANT CONFISCATED MPHS
The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) has conducted an operation to seize a fertilizer factory operating without a license in Mukim Rasa on 22 February 2023
A total of 20 members were involved in the integrated operation involving several other agencies including the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) and the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) Rasa branch as well as the tow truck panel company appointed by MPHS.
When operatives arrived at the location, it appeared that the main gate had been opened by an employee to allow a trailer to deliver goods to the premises. The enforcement officers entered and found several workers fleeing into a nearby bush.
In addition, there is also another lorry trailer inside the premises that is unloading the goods it is carrying. The two trailer drivers are local and Malay. In addition, there are also several pallets of fertilizer that have been wrapped and equipment that is being used to pack fertilizer around this premise.
The operatives have acted to confiscate some of the following equipment:
a) Plastic laminate machine – 2 units
b) Soil compactor - 1 unit
c) Scales (dacing) – 4 units
d) Floor washing machine – 1 unit
e) Forklift – 1 unit
f) Trailer lorry body T/P 6304 – 1 unit
g) Trailer lorry body T/P 6699 – 1 unit
h) Oxygen tank – 3 units
This confiscation action has been implemented under Bylaws 3 (1) and 38(1), Trade, Business and Industrial Bylaws (MDHS) 2007 because the premises operator has carried out fertilizer packing activities without MPHS permission.
Both the trailer body and the seized items were taken to the MPHS detention depot for the detention process and further action.
