JALAN PAHANG LAMA KKB 'HOTSPOT' AREA ILLEGAL GARBAGE
The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) is carrying out a clean-up operation with the contractor company Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad Waste Management (KDEB) at the hot spot of illegal waste disposal in Jalan Pahang Lama Kuala Kubu Baru on 7 June 2023 and 24 June 2023.
The council has received a high number of complaints at the location which is a 'hotspot' location for illegal dumping. This location has 4times cleaned but still used as an illegal dumping ground by irresponsible parties. This shows that the mentality of the community is still low in keeping the environment clean.
Construction waste, bulk garbage and domestic garbage among the garbage found on the shoulder of the road in the area. Such piles of garbage in public places can cause environmental pollution and damage the image of the district.
Monitoring will continue in addition to yellow tape and prohibition signs have been installed at the location to ensure the same incident does not happen again.
According to the Garbage Collection, Disposal and Disposal of Garbage (MDHS) Act 2007, no one is allowed to throw any kind of garbage in any public place or any place not designated by the Council as a place to dispose of garbage. Offenses under this UUK can be fined if convicted not exceeding RM2000 or imprisoned for a period not exceeding 1 year, or both. And this offense can be compounded with an amount not exceeding RM1000.
The MPHS does not hesitate to take strict action against parties who are found to be throwing rubbish in unauthorized places. Members of the public who see this happening, please report to the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleaning Department (JPSPPA) MPHS at 03-60641050 or email to
